Garden Media Group has hired beloved public relations communicator, Peggy Anne Montgomery, as an account executive.

With more than 30 years horticultural and PR experience, Montgomery will be responsible for managing client and media relations for several key accounts, contributing to strategic planning and developing new business opportunities.

“Peggy Anne brings star power to our team,” explains Susan McCoy, president and founder of Garden Media. “Her education, experience and enthusiasm for horticulture offer Garden Media vast opportunities to delight our clients in new, innovative ways. Plus, people everywhere just love her.”

Montgomery is equally enthusiastic about Garden Media and the work they do. "My own passion for nature and love of gardening is directly in line with Garden Media’s mission. Improving environmental health and supporting human wellbeing are genuinely a part of the culture at this woman owned and run business."

Prior to joining Garden Media, she worked with Bailey Nurseries, American Beauties Native Plants and Mt. Cuba Center. Her focus on creating sustainable, eco-friendly landscapes and the importance of balanced ecosystems fits perfectly with Garden Media’s mission to partner with companies promoting gardening as a healthy lifestyle.

"The path to this phase of my career seems serendipitous,” explains Montgomery. “I have known and admired Garden Media and their prestigious list of clients for over 15 years. I feel excited and energized to begin collaborating with this dynamic creative team."

Most recently Montgomery was named a Fellow by the Association of Garden Communicators. GWA Fellows demonstrate exceptionally high degrees of skill, professional ethics and dedication to the objectives of GWA.

Montgomery volunteers for the Delaware Center for Horticulture and many other horticultural institutions in the Greater Philadelphia area. She lives and gardens with her husband, Dan Benarcik, in Delaware.
