Here are a few of the new offerings for the 2026 Library of Roses from Jackson & Perkins:
- The star of the 2026 new rose collection from Jackson & Perkins, Ruffled Romance™, is the final rose bred by legendary hybridizer Dr. Keith Zary for Jackson & Perkins. This stunning floribunda begins in shades of golden yellow and apricot, maturing into soft pink as it unfolds. With moderate fragrance, strong disease resistance, and large 4” blooms, Ruffled Romance™ delivers a new story with every season.
- Roses from Around the World collection from Jackson & Perkins celebrates the artistry of rose breeding with selections sourced from around the globe, including: Flash Gordon, a floribunda with large, 5” golden blooms and vigorous 5’ habit. Bonus: attracts pollinators.
- Gardeners in cooler climates will welcome the Cold Hardy Roses collection from Jackson & Perkins, bred to thrive in Zones 2–4 without sacrificing beauty. Highlights include: AC Navy Lady, a compact, Zone 3 shrub rose with nearly black buds and velvety red blooms and J.P. Connell, a Zone 2 hardy shrub rose with thornless stems and continuous yellow blooms all summer.
Here are the new offerings from Costa Farms
- Monstera pinnatipartita: This is a hard-to-find but easy-to-grow species of Monstera From Costa Farms, that as it matures (and we’re growing it as a matured plant), shows off big leaves (to 3 feet long!) with eye-catching slits in the sides, making it a super-textural addition to your home. The rich, dark green color adds beauty and life to any space. It grows best in bright light, but tolerates medium light; water as the top half or so of the potting mix dries to the touch. Underwatering is better for the plant than overwatering if you’re in doubt.
- Pothos Yellow Sunrise (Epipremnum pinnatum Yellow Sunrise) Here’s a new take on good old-fashioned Golden Pothos from Costa Farms. Yellow Sunrise sports similarly gold-variegated leaves, but as it grows, the leaves get bigger faster and they develop fenestrations (slits and holes), making it look more like a Monstera than a Pothos. But happily, it has the same easy-growing nature as Golden Pothos; Yellow Sunrise tolerates low light (but grows best in medium to bright spots), forgives you if you sometimes forget to water, and is super easy to share snippings with friends and neighbors.
- Scindapsus Black Mamba: Black Mamba is a really hard-to-find collector’s plant that’s becoming more available to plant parents everywhere thanks to Costa Farms. It sports teardrop-shaped dark green leaves that are nearly black in color, making it stand out in a houseplant collection. It’s a climbing vine, so you can grow it up a pole or other structure to save space—or let it hang from a basket or shelf. It loves bright light but tolerates medium light and is somewhat forgiving of neglect, but grows best if watered regularly.
- Hibiscus Flora (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis HibisQs® Flora): We’ve tested thousands of Tropical Hibiscus varieties here at Costa Farms, and this is really something special. Flora shows off huge white flowers (they can as big as your face) with a soft pink rim. In cooler weather, the flowers can last for two or three days (unlike other Hibiscus that just last a single day). And it provides a surprising number of flowers, too! It grows best in all-day sun or part shade and likes to stay moist. Regularly fertilizing it helps maximize the number (and size) of the flowers.
New offerings from Encore® Azalea and Southern Living® Plant Collection
- For gardeners looking for a show-stopping, resilient shrub, Autumn Kiss® Encore® Azalea is a superb choice for year-round appeal. This variety’s compact, mounding size (reaching 3 – 4 feet) maintains a tidy shape perfect for modern landscapes and container gardens. Its ruffled, bi-color blooms, with watercolor-like gradation from hot pink to near white, netted the win for this azalea as a Cultivate 2025 Retailer’s Choice. A robust root system provides superior resilience to pests and heat, allowing the glossy, evergreen leaves to hold their shine even in full sun. Ideal for USDA Zones 6-10.
- Tired of dull, dark corners in the garden? Tokyo Skies Aspidistra is an award-winning, tough-as-nails groundcover that immediately catches the eye with broad, dark green foliage adorned with unique cream and white variegation. Thriving in both partial and full shade, this resilient plant is not only water-wise and low-maintenance once established, but it also performs well in containers, borders, and as a houseplant, extending its value beyond its recommended USDA Zones 8-10. Size at maturity is 2-3 feet tall by 1-2 feet wide.
