Jourdan Cole Promoted to Account Manager at Garden Media Group
Cole will manage digital and social outreach for The Espoma Organic Company
Social media, blogging, event planning and media outreach were just a few things Jourdan Cole specialized in as an account executive at Garden Media Group. Now she plans to utilize her refined skillset in her new position as account manager.
Cole will lead The Espoma Organic Company account and spearhead all initiatives ranging from social media expansion to creating digital content. Her promotion comes after she headed Espoma’s monumentally successful National Gardening Month initiative – a month-long campaign that and garnered more than 10,000 new likes to Espoma’s Facebook page.
Cole’s new position as account manager will enable her to maintain the company’s outreach.
“The transition is natural,” says Cole, who is excited about the innovative potential of her promotion. “I’m excited to work with a company that cares about promoting environmentally-conscious products. It’s very meaningful and authentic.”
Cole has worked with Espoma to promote their line of organic plant food and potting soils since the company signed with Garden Media in 2015. She served as one of the driving forces behind the company’s popular Safe Paws program, a national campaign that educated pet owners about the dangers of using pesticides on lawns.
In addition to assisting with national campaigns, Cole also helped increase Espoma’s social media reach through blogs, and many interactive Facebook contests that resonated with new audiences.
“Having worked with Espoma for a long time, I am excited to start new projects,” Cole adds. “It’s great to expand my responsibilities with an outstanding team.”
Before joining Garden Media, Cole managed and edited a line of community magazines, interfacing with writers and community leaders across the country.
Cole, a graduate of Penn State University, also earned national recognition for her work as opinion editor of Penn State’s The Daily Collegian. She received both the national and regional Mark of Excellence Awards for editorial writing by the Society of Professional Journalists.
